Westbrook Land Trust Annual Open House- Guest Speaker @ Home of Kristin Elliott Leas and Mark Leas

Roger will be a guest speaker at the Westbrook Land Conservation Trust Annual Open House on February 4th at 1 pm at the home of Kristin Elliott Leas and Mark Leas. He will be speaking on how climate change is impacting shoreline CT.  Roger serves as a volunteer lobbyist for the Citizens’ Climate Lobby, a nonprofit group garnering support in Congress for national carbon fee and dividend legislation. He is the CCL Connecticut State Coordinator and group leader for the Southeast Connecticut (Mystic) chapter with his wife Anne Schmidt. Roger is a man of many talents. He is a writer, filmmaker, performer, geologist (Ph.D), and founder of SustainAudit, LLC, a sustainable practices application company based in Mystic, Connecticut.

Sustainability in the Community – short courses @ The Clearing Folk School

Two, one-day short courses taught by Roger Kuhns about sustainability in the community. A fun, participatory day of looking at how we can live. You can attend either day as the Friday course is a repeat of Thursday’s course.

“Water – And the Last Big Thirst” – Sunday Message @ Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County

Roger will be delivering the UU Sunday Service Message at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County on Sunday, February 25th, 10:00am. You’re invited to attend as the service is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.

“Water – And the Last Big Thirst”
This message is about our seemingly abundant supply of water in the Great Lakes Region, and in particular Door County.  The message is one of looking at the bigger picture of the Great Lakes and how the “greater America” is thirsty.  We will look at the use, conservation and threats to our water supply and what you can do to be a sustainable “Steward of our Water”.
